The IGT wines such as this Lambrusco Emilia are obtained from larger areas than those for the DOC and, in general, higher yields are permitted. This allows one to accentuate the notes of freshness and aromas rather than color and structure. However, the presence of Ancellotta enhances the intensity of the color and the wine’s fullness on the palate, along with elegant and barely perceptible vegetal notes due to the presence of the residual sugar that contributes to the general balance of the wine.
