Good drink, bad cork

I enjoyed my wild turkey although it started off poorly as the cork broke while I tried to open the bottle. This was unfortunate as it couldn't be removed and thus stayed inside the bottle and mixed with the drink. After I strained the drink it was a nice rye whiskey, but the cork issue needs to be resolved.

Rye was good, cork was not

the cork completely disintegrated when I pulled off the cap. I had to use a tiny blade to remove what was left of the cork in the neck - if it fell into the rye, it would’ve ruined the taste. Boozy you guys may need to store your bottles better. Also, most bottles arrive very dusty.
