With roots going back to 1869, Wild Turkey Bourbon is super-premium American bourbon, made in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky by Master Distiller Jimmy Russell and his son Eddy Russell. Chosen from the heart of the Wild Turkey rickhouse and featuring a higher char level on the barrels, this rich, creamy toffee and vanilla tasting bourbon is not your typical bourbon.
In homage of Wild Turkey Master Distiller Jimmy Russell's time and success with the brand, the Russell's set aside the best casks of aging bourbon to create Russell's Reserve 10 Year Old. The formula is simple and classic -- a solid mix of corn, wheat, rye, and a dash of barley distilled and aged a full ten years in dark #4 char, white oak casks.
The Russell's Reserve 10 Year Old is a great bourbon to introduce to new whiskey drinkers; its ABV and toffee and vanilla notes make it very approachable and not too overwhelming for the palate.
SIGNATURE SERVE: Neat or on the rocks
Pour 45ml Russell's Reserve 10 Year Old into a rock glass. Add ice or enjoy neat.
To rate something always involves the Quality and Price - the right product at the right price. Russell's 10 yo at the price of 3k+ could be that. But at 4k+, my rating is it's the right product at the incorrect price.
