In the 1950s Moët & Chandon created its first subsidiary outside France in Mendoza, Bodega Chandon. In the 1990s, the president of Bodega Chandon had the vision that Argentina could deliver great quality still wine on the export market if it were to adopt improved winemaking techniques that would give more elegant wines.
