From this ONE bottle, a new breath of Japanese whisky begins. Finally, the first single malt Japanese whisky from the Ontake Distillery has been completed. And that is, "Ontake".
This single malt whisky has been produced at the Ontake Distillery since 2019. It is made from the finest quality two-row barley, non-peated malt. We use natural soft water that comes up from 300 meters underground at a rate of over 1,000 liters per minute. The casks are also an important ingredient of our whisky, and only old sherry casks are used.
Tasting Notes:
Color: The clear amber color.
Nose: The fragrant, rich aroma combines sweet baked apples and apricots, fresh citruses, spice, and a savory, toasty smell.
Palate: The taste is dry, but a rich savor reminiscent of fruitcake and vanilla, as well as a full-bodied flavor, gradually develops.
