When it comes to margaritas, bigger is definitely better–and there's no margarita quite as gigantic as the Lucky Rita that was concocted in October of 2011.

Lucky Rita

Standing at a whopping 30 feet and containing over 8,500 gallons of the citrusy cocktail, the Lucky Rita holds the Guinness World Record for the largest margarita in the world. As expected, she’s firmly situated right in the heart of the bustling Sin City, Las Vegas

Mixed in 2011 to celebrate the opening of Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Casino at the Flamingo Las Vegas, Lucky Rita is truly a margarita lover's dream come true. It took a team of skilled mixologists over 300 hours to concoct the perfect recipe and mix all of the ingredients together in the giant tank.

The Lucky Rita margarita is made with 2,125 gallons of Margaritaville Gold Tequila, 708 gallons of Margaritaville Triple Sec, 5,667 gallons of Margaritaville Margarita Mix, and 22,304 limes. Eventually, the last pour was done by 5 PM while over a thousand spectators witnessed the historical moment.

But Lucky Rita isn't just a record-breaking attraction; she's also a symbol of the Las Vegas life: vibrant, intoxicating, and of course, exciting. The city is known for its lively nightlife and party culture, and Lucky Rita embodies that spirit perfectly, down to what it is and how it was made. So, whether you're a local or a tourist, a margarita lover or just looking for a fun time, Lucky Rita is a must-see (and taste) experience.

So if you're planning a trip to Las Vegas, be sure to stop by and snap a photo with this iconic cocktail. Cheers!
