Nikka Black Special is the result of the expertise and passion of Masataka Taketsuru, founder of Nikka Whisky and known as the father of Japanese whisky. Fondly dubbed "Bearded Black," a classic Coffey grain whiskey with a legacy dating back to 1965. This robust spirit boasts earthy and chocolatey flavors, paired with herbal notes and a touch of peat smoke, alongside sweet fruit undertones. Enjoy a balanced fusion of dark chocolate, dark berry fruit, toffee, and vanilla, accented by well-defined peatiness. With its rich and enduring profile, Nikka Black Special leaves a lingering impression of smoke and spice.
Tasting Notes:
- Color: Deep amber
- Nose: Sweet with nuts and a little bit of refreshing vanilla
